Manchester City has rejected the Openda offer valued at £60 million from Lens for their forward player. The club's decision comes after Lens expressed interest in acquiring Openda, who is currently playing for Real Madrid and has been linked to a move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Lens had initially offered £55 million for Openda, but this was reduced to £60 million as the club sought to secure a deal that would meet its financial requirements. However, Manchester City refused the offer, stating that they were not willing to sell Openda at such a low price. The club have previously stated that they are committed to keeping Openda in their squad, despite his age and contract situation. Openda, 28 years old, has made 194 appearances for Real Madrid since joining the club in 2016 and has scored 28 goals. He is considered one of the best young players in Europe and is expected to be a key player for Manchester City in the coming seasons. The club have also signed another young talent, Eden Hazard, from Chelsea for £77 million earlier this month. This move comes as Manchester City continue to strengthen their squad ahead of next season's Premier League campaign. |
