Toulouse secured their first win in the Ligue 1 campaign with a resounding 3-0 victory over Lille at the Stade de Toulouse on Saturday night.

The victory was the result of some excellent team play from Toulouse and was achieved thanks to three goals scored by Jonathan David, Benjamin Bentaleb and André.

David opened the scoring in the 24th minute when he finished off a well-worked move involving André and Benjamin Bentaleb. The French international then doubled his side's lead in the 68th minute after beating two defenders before slotting home from close range.

André completed the scoring in the 79th minute after being set up by André as he fired home from close range.

It was a dominant display from Toulouse, who controlled possession throughout the game and were able to create plenty of chances without ever really threatening Lille's goal.

Lille, meanwhile, were woeful in attack and were unable to find any way through Toulouse's defence. Their lack of creativity meant they struggled to create any meaningful attacks and it was no surprise that they went behind so quickly.

Overall, this was a solid performance from Toulouse and one that could see them climb up the table. They now have the chance to build on this success against weaker opponents and continue their good form in the coming weeks.
